About Us
A message from our founder.

I’m Harriet, the founder of Activity Circle. I’ve worked in care for over 20 years - as an activities coordinator, care home manager, assessor, trainer, and director.

I’ve led award-winning dementia services, including being recognised as a Platinum Champion during the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations for my contribution to dementia care. I’ve also supported teams through inspections and helped services prepare for CQC visits.

The Story Behind Activity Circle

Activity Circle was born from everything I’ve learned and everything I care about. I know how challenging care can be, but I also know the difference small, meaningful moments can make for both the person being cared for and the person providing that care. That’s why all of our activity resources are free: dementia-friendly, inclusive, and easy to use, designed to bring joy, connection, and dignity to everyday care.

We also understand that meaningful care goes beyond activities. Carers need support too - training, tools, and the confidence to meet complex needs and deliver high standards, especially during inspections or periods of change. That’s why at Activity Circle we don’t just rely on lived experience. We’re dementia-qualified, with professional backgrounds in health and social care, leadership, and ongoing study in dementia and research. Our approach combines hands-on knowledge with evidence-based practice.

Our range of online courses are designed to be practical, compassionate, and grounded in real-life care. By offering these courses, we’re able to fund the free resources- so while you’re learning, you’re also helping others access the support they need.

Activity Circle is here to support you, your team, and the people you care for because everyone deserves meaningful moments.
